The late composer Denis Nye, co-Founder of Hinge/Works, first studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music as a bass performer, then at the University of Iowa. He went on to study composition at Juilliard. Denis's work has been performed in Chicago, L.A., NYC, and in countless gloriously strange site-specific productions in and around of Portland, Maine.
